Now, it’s safe that a lot has changed since our last weekly round up, to the point where many of you may be reading this in isolation, what difference a week makes, huh? Well looking back, here is this week’s Mc&T weekly round up.
Sunday 8th March marked International Women’s Day, a day to promote equality and champion women’s rights. It also marked the launch of a very important campaign…
Refuge #safetyinanumber
Refuge teamed up with Mc&T, BBH and a number of high profile celebrities to make their National Domestic Abuse Helpline famous. An incredibly moving and timely campaign, it was backed by the likes of Olivia Colman, Lorraine Kelly, Little Mix and many more, with each high-profile woman, ‘donating their fame’ and changing their Twitter handles to the helpline number to generate awareness on the day. The helpline number also took over Piccadilly Lights for a period of time, further thrusting the campaign into the media spotlight. The campaign was widely featured across the media landscape appearing on ITV News London and various online titles from The Independent to Refinery 29, with the lovely ladies of Mc&T proudly representing the team and securing 92 picese of coverage over all.
