Whilst the weather has been pretty gloomy, we have managed to find glimmers of sunshine with our campaign coverage. Still, get your umbrellas out as it’s about to rain articles and blogs.
A campaign that has been close to our hearts for some time is Justice for Grenfell and we worked alongside them again this week:
Justice for Grenfell
To mark three years since the Grenfell tower disaster, Justice4Grenfell launched a campaign calling for justice for the 72 lives lost on 14th June, 2017.
Justice4Grenfell is calling to urge the Government to make a commitment to remove all flammable cladding from buildings via supportGrenfell.co.uk. The campaign encourage people to post on their social channels and write to their local MP to commit to:
- A deadline to remove all ACM and non ACM flammable cladding system
- A detailed timeline of how they will achieve this
- The Government being held accountable if they fail again
The campaign has been backed by celebrities and high profile supporters including Jeremy Corbyn, Naomi Campbell, Rita Ora, Paloma Faith, Tinie Tempah and Ella Eyre*, who highlighted the important message on their social channels on Wednesday 10th June onwards, with a post that reads “Safe Homes. Protect Residents. Save Lives”.
