A few of you savvy digital dwellers may have heard of a lovely little website called “Pornhub”, but the majority of us will have only recently heard of it for its recent PR stunt*. And my oh my, what a stunt it is! Now, we’re not porn connoisseurs ourselves, but when Pornhub, an “adult film” site, made it into our social feeds this week we couldn’t help but di – erm, we mean click. Click. Why? Well firstly, it had nothing to do with the title “The Dirtiest Porn Ever”. Oh no, dear reader. It was because it has actually teamed up with the Marine non- profit organisation Ocean Polymers – who are planning to launch a ship to collect and reprocess plastic from the sea, to create the film. Now, we were intrigued by such an unusual partnership but on watching it made perfect, sensual sense. |

So what is the synopsis? Well, Spoiler Alert The film features porn power couple LeoLulu having “relations” on a beach surrounded by plastic and other rubbish that is thrown into the sea without any consideration for the natural marine habitat. As they make sweet, sweet love, litter pickers wearing the porn hub logo pick up trash around them. It’s emosh, babes. Truly moving on a visual level. We have watched it several times for the purpose of this article and we can say you really do see something new on every. Single. Watch. “We’re dirty here at Pornhub, but that doesn’t mean our beaches need to be,” explained Corey Price, vice president of Pornhub. And blessed be Corey Price, we couldn’t agree more. As PR campaigns go, it certainly made an impact digitally with it being covered by the press across the board in terms of demographics as well as making an international splash. We mean, look at that raise up in Google trend searches… |

The best part is that Pornhub will donate money to the Ocean Polymers on every. Single. Watch. So go ahead and watch the film guilt free Mc&T friends, as you are literally doing it to save the turtles. Maybe you should watch it again to save the dolphins and then maybe watch it and save the…. *Supposedly, according to Google its one of the most visited websites in the world. Who’d have thunk, huh? |
